State Pension benefits

In addition to your Scheme pension, you might be eligible to receive the State Pension from the Government.

From April 2016, a flat-rate State Pension was introduced. The new system aimed to simplify things and replaced the Basic State Pension and Additional State Pension.

How much is the State Pension?

The full level of the new State Pension is currently £175.20 per week, but the amount you receive at State Pension Age could be more or less than this because it is based on your National Insurance record.

Where can I find more information?

You can read more about the current State Pension in our factsheet.
